What holds you back?
Posted On 03/11/2008 01:50:22 by inetmarketeers

One of the dangers for an internet marketer (especially but not exclusively) the newbies, is that you spend too much time looking at what glistens, but not enough time working out a plan, and driving it into action.

It has happened to me many times.

Perhaps you have a great idea for a product, and then continually improve it, but never launch it. Or maybe you want to resell, so you start to build a store, but keep adding prodcuts. Maybe you have the product and domain name, but can not get all the pieces together, the selling page, squeeze page, one time offer, email marketing, digital delivery, etc.

What holds you back?

Certainly you can get wrapped up in a whole load of emails and forums, and before you know it not only do you have little time, you become confused, and the original plan you had has disappeared ... which can be a big mistake. Of course thats not to say some sites dont give good advice, which can help you fine tune a plan, but others drive you nearly insane.

Hi there,

What holds me back?Well, as a newbie, I find myself suffering with information overload - I know there is so much wonderful stuff to learn "out there" on the w-w-w that I can't resist all the enticing emails! I've had to consciously prune my list of things I've subscribed to, now that I can distinguish the "good guys" - and since that decision I find I'm more focussed & less fearful of not finding the perfect product/market/list/whatever.

Have any of you guys had similar experiences? And how did you handle them?

Wishing success to all

For would be internet marketeers often the problem is everything looks and sounds great, and before you launch something, you see another product that you feel might help you and then you are drawn in another direction. And eventually months go by, no launch, more $ spent, and no income.

If that is you, take encouragement many of us have been there. There are some solutions. I developed one called Easy Cash Method ... www.easycashmethod.com to make building membership sites easy ... in fact in well under 1 hour I can buy a domain, setup the software, and customize the look/feel, and leave it on autopilot.

Hi Traci,

Yeah, you're not alone in that boat.

I believe we all go through the information gluttony phase at some point or another.

One of the things that helped me was getting my downloads organized.

I started a folder by month and day and then subfolders with the product names where I downloaded on a daily basis. Then I started weeding out the items that I had double and triple.

That way each day I could re-check what I downloaded the day before. After that I would sort them into folders based on catagory or author and then into RR, MRR or PLR.

The other thing was what you already chose to do, cut back on all the wonderful offers from 10,000 gurus and stick with the ones you relate to most. Most of the mails are repetative anyway.

That is why you are in the right place, because Liz's JV Network helps with a number of partners who have had years of experience, so just keep asking questions and someone will surely have an answer.

Look forward  to hearing about your successes.

Cheers, Smiles and Laughs,

Crazy J
