Lets Get started
Hi Guys and Gals

Where should we start ?

Do we have a foundation?

do have any building blocks ?

This is going to be the first building in our Virtual Internet Empire so lets build a strong foundation, with solid walls and a sound roof.

As this is the first Post and we have not as yet decided on our main tactics I leave the questions open for all to answer to enable us, as a group, to decide our Route to achieve our Goals.

Please join us in this discussion with any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions you may have.

Where do you think we should start? :)

What is our first step in building a foundation?

Hi Liz

What is our First step in building a foundation? Thats the $64000 question.

Well I guess the first step to building a good foundation is to a have a plan from which to build in the same way that an architect would design a great building.

In order to have a Plan we first of all need to know what the Goal is.

I assume that most people who have joined this forum have a product or at least an idea for a product, that they wish to "push out" to a wider audience by way of a JV with someone.

So that should be our Goal..To attract fellow JV'ers to promote our products

So how are we going to achieve this?

From my experience Most First time JV'ers have never had their product reviewed by anyone and then they are amazed when no one takes them seriously, which then leads them to go it alone which will take forever to get anywhere.

The pity of this is that maybe, just maybe, they have a great concept but the plan needs a little refining.

At this moment in time there is little or no opportunity to find out the answers to these problems. Many of these early projects are our "babies" and we sometimes view them with Blinkers on. So perhaps here in this forum is a good place to start and ask others to review our Plans and ideas and ask for "useful comments" or help from more experienced Marketers.

For the experienced JV'ers there is also an opportunity here to form new alliances from some rising star who maybe has a great products, or potentially great product, that would enhance an existing product. This is where some Great Alliances can be formed. More building Blocks for your empire..

We can help each other to maybe refine or tweak our products and improve on the initial Plans.

If products and services are built well from these foundations in this forum then other Potential JV Partners will already be familiar with the product and more willing to participate in a JV Knowing that the Products are solid and worthy of promoting...

So lets ensure we have solid products built on good foundations to build our own Internet Empires.

so now we have a basic Plan, a Goal..

First off - hi! I'm really glad to be here.

I agree that this is a great opportunity to help each other as well as form JVs. I'd be happy to review members products and hopefully that might be reciprocated :)

I'm still in the product design stage but have a good vision of where I'm going, That's got to be crucial to getting anything done. As an ex teacher, I'm used to planning courses, lessons etc. and I'm finding these skills are translating really well to building niche websites and products.

Anyway, nice to meet you!

Something I Just wrote which May help
Hi everyone

Soemone once said that to make thing happen you you had to get in there and actually do something.

Well since I started this group off It ispired me to at least get of my Backside and actually do something.

What did I do ?

I wrote ane Book and set up a cool tool to go with it that may coem handy for our little troop

so what is the Book about ? well I used to get frustrated tryong to keep track of where all of my websites were on the Internet. By that I meanm where were they indexed, and rannked, also how was my backlink strategy doing.

Well now I have One simple destop tool that does all of theat for me, in just a few Moments, and the best thing is I also give it away as a free tool.

so for any of you want a nice cool VIE-LINKWIZARD just pop on over and read the Ebook and sownload the desktop website Link-Wizard and find out how easy it is to keep track of all of your websites..

http://www.virtual-internet-empires.com/Vie-LinkWizard.pdf

It has not been published anywhere yet so you will be the first to see it.  and any comments would be appreciated

Feedback...

Hi Geoff,

Well done on a very interesting idea, and explaining some fundamental principles for newbies.

I've read the report, and the tool sounds very handy; can't wait to try it :) - however, the link to it isn't working for me (in either IE or Firefox); I presume this is because it's not yet launched?

Another observation with a caveat :-) The caveat is: I'm afraid I'm a pedant when it comes to spelling & grammar; the observation is that you need to go through your document with spell-checker on, as there are a few things that need to be fixed up before you release your product to the world. And I've found if you read your eBook/article out loud to yourself, you pick up forgotten words far more effectively:
e.g. on page 2, "There were just a few very privileged people who access to the tools" is missing the word "had".

I hope this was the sort of feedback you were hoping for -  and good luck!!

Best wishes

Tracey
